It was the last day of school and I was ready for the rest of my life to begin. A lot of my fellow students could only see as far as the next party and the next vacation. Not me. I had big plans and a bright future. I was ready to start my first grown up job working for a real estate answering service. I knew I could face the challenges of working in a largely unrecognized and underestimated business. The job itself was valuable and the information and skills that I could hone by working here could prepare me for the rest of my life. I am ready for to answer questions and phones and setting appointments and texting messages and being a key spoke in the wheel of support for realtors. Even if the rest of the world was largely unaware of this job, I wasn’t bothered by that, I was too excited to begin.
